Drugs are bad
I would argue that drugs are bad, but so too are the systems in place that would allow this one human to be arrested so many times, clearly without any preventative measures in place. Probably around picture 1 or 2, when she had sat in jail for a day or two before getting released because of overcrowding or a lack of interest on the judge’s part, as she started to detox off meth or crack or a combination of the two, she recognized that drugs are bad too. Unfortunately, that isn’t the main problem here. The main problem is the fact that this too-obvious refrain is what is being taught to our children and to a woman like this who already has suffered the devastation of addiction as she rots in small increments, in jail cell after jail cell one or two nights at a time.
